Mark D. Hilden, President/COO, joined PI-21 in June of 2007. Prior to joining PI-21, Mr. Hilden has distinguished himself in business and information technology for nearly 30 years. For the last 20 years, Mr. Hilden has held key senior executive, management consultant, technical consultant, technical manager positions after spending several years as a software and network design and development engineer. Mr. Hilden's early background as an engineer and technical manager gave him an appreciation for the challenges of establishing and maintaining effective processes that can actually be used to generate high quality products and services and generally increase the overall performance of the organization without killing the staff in the process.
As a manager and executive for major corporations, as well as a number of much smaller organizations, Mr. Hilden has regularly held the primary responsibility within a given organization of building and maintaining high quality products and services consistently and cost effectively. And after spending the last several years focusing almost entirely on organizational performance through process improvement, he has since gained a whole new appreciation of just how important effectively monitoring and managing processes can in fact make a company more competitive in any marketplace, especially one that is struggling in a weak economy. Mr. Hilden has used this knowledge and experience based skill to help many of PI-21’s clients achieve new levels of performance that were previously thought to be unachievable.
Besides being a highly successful and effective organizational performance improvement consultant, Mr. Hilden is a certified SCAMPI Team Lead and an SEI Authorized CMMI Instructor for both CMMI-Dev and CMMI-SVC. His success as a senior consultant and a senior corporate executive has to a great degree depended on his ability to establish and maintain effective and practical processes that do not depend on particular personalities within a given organization to produce successful products and services each and every time. Mr. Hilden is committed to helping companies learn how to establish and maintain highly effective processes that help them increase and maintain high levels of performance while also complying with whichever process model(s) they have chosen to adhere to be they CMMI, ITIL, ISO or any other process model or standard that is in the marketplace today.
