This one-day SEI Licensed supplement
course introduces participants to the newly released
Capability Maturity Model® Integration for Services (CMMI®-SVC).
CMMI-SVC helps service providers improve their ability to
deliver quality services to clients and end users. CMMI-SVC
builds on the fundamentals of CMMI-DEV as an integration of
best practices from proven improvement models and provides
service unique best practices for the service oriented
organization. Our instructors all have real-world
experience in using models to guide organizational process
improvement efforts. We bring those experiences to every
course. We teach through examples, lessons learned, and
just “food for thought”.
The course is composed of lectures and
class exercises with ample opportunity for participant

Successful completion of this course
and its prerequisite course CMMI-DEV are prerequisites for
SCAMPISM Team Training for CMMI-SVC appraisals.
Together they are also prerequisites for SCAMPI Lead
Appraiser Training, and CMMI Instructor Training for the
services model. Successful completion requires active
participation and attendance throughout the day and results
in certificates of completion and the participants’ names
being submitted for inclusion in the SEISM
database.
Anyone interested in learning about the
CMMI for services will find this course and it prerequisite
course (CMMI-DEV) an excellent starting point, but process
developers, implementers, and service providers will find
